Dark Tooth Internal Whitening

One upper front tooth had darkened from the inside after earlier root canal treatment, sitting noticeably greyer than the tooth beside it. Rather than cutting the tooth down for a crown or veneer, whitening gel was placed inside the tooth through a small access opening behind it and refreshed over a short series of visits until the shade matched its neighbour. The access cavity was then sealed and polished with tooth-coloured composite. No healthy enamel was drilled from the front of the tooth. Treatment was carried out in Marylebone, London, and results shown are individual to this patient.
