Full Mouth Rehabilitation — Veneers, Crowns, Implants & Gum Surgery
This patient came to treatment with her teeth in a genuinely difficult state: missing teeth, bite problems, uneven gum margins, spacing issues between the upper and lower arches, heavily broken-down teeth, discolouration and wear all at once. Fixing any one of those in isolation wouldn't have worked — the plan had to start from the final result she needed, then work backwards into stages carried out by different specialists, all guided toward that same outcome, with the whole case planned and overseen from start to finish.
Treatment moved in sequence: stabilising the teeth and treating the underlying infections and disease first, then comprehensive orthodontics to bring the teeth into the positions veneers and crowns would need, balance the bite, and open the spaces required for implants where teeth were missing. Implants were placed once that space was ready, a gum lift levelled the margins, and only then did the final stage begin — porcelain crowns and veneers, with each tooth assessed individually and the type of restoration chosen based on its condition and how much natural structure remained.
The whole process took three years — partly because comprehensive orthodontics and gum surgery genuinely need that much time to do properly, and partly by choice: a faster route would have meant cutting aggressively into the teeth to mask the underlying problems immediately, and the decision was made instead to use the most conservative options available and preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible. Rather than leave her functioning on broken-down teeth throughout that longer timeline, the teeth were rebuilt early on using long-term materials, so she had real function and visible improvement from early in treatment — making a three-year plan something she could actually live through, not just endure.
