Multiple Missing Teeth & Tooth Wear — Orthodontics, Implants, Crowns & Veneers
Some adults never develop a full set of permanent teeth — a condition where certain adult teeth simply never form, leaving the original baby teeth to keep doing the job for life, often much smaller and less suited to it than the adult teeth they should have been replaced by. This patient had that, alongside teeth that were genuinely missing altogether. Between the two, the result was severe spacing, a compromised bite, and a lack of proper support across the smile — with wear following as the bite struggled to function evenly.
Orthodontics came first, moving the teeth into the positions the final result actually needed and opening the spaces required for implants — necessary groundwork for both symmetry and a stable bite, not something restorations alone could achieve. Implants then replaced the teeth that were genuinely missing, while the retained baby teeth were rebuilt in porcelain to mimic the size, shape and proportion of proper adult teeth rather than staying undersized. The whole smile was redesigned together, so teeth with three very different starting points — adult, baby, and implant-supported — read as one harmonious set.
